
Introduction (DRAFT I)
I don't care what you say, lighting is the
most important aspect of photography. More important that your
camera, lens, or filter. Lighting determines the composition and
perspective of a photo and I guarantee that 80% of our shots have poor
lighting, made worse by the horrific on-camera flashes fixed to our
bodies. Moreover, it's something a lens nor a camera can fix, and it
can be achieved in two ways:
1) Getting lucky (Right place the the right time
2) The addition/removal of present light
Nikon's
C.L.S., an acronym for Creative Lighting System, is Nikon's current
encarnation of the off camera flash triggering system. In this
tutorial, we'll learn how to use the Nikon CLS system with all
i-TTL compatible flashes and, in doing so, make full use of what Nikon
has to offer in this doman.
